Roger Ebert, being surprisingly intelligent, has written an excellent report on a new film technology and compares it to the much hyped digital projectors.?Bascially, it's a film loader that can be retrofitted on existing projectors.?It supports 48fps, but will also do 24fps and switch between them on the fly! But the coolest part is that it's virtually jitter free.?It's way higher resolution than digital projectors (which are 1280x1024, less than HDTV!) and costs about 10% of the expected digital projector costs.?Very, very good article.?Read more...
