Study Says TV Getting More Violent

...and we love it.?The conservative Center for Media and Public Affairs has counted 2,156 instances of objectionable language on the major broadcast networks, two premium cable networks and seven basic cable networks during the 1998-99 season.?The study, titled "The Rude and the Crude: Profanity in Popular Entertainment," concludes, "Words once reserved to register strongly negative emotions have become the standard lingo of movies, TV shows and music videos." It said that Fox-TV was the biggest network offender with an average of 20 profanities per hour, twice the average of the other networks.
