On the 27th of October 1994 visitors to the HotWired Web site were treated to the first-ever viewing of a banner ad, A pioneering attempt at making money through advertising on "The Internet".?Then there was the out burst of sites using banner ads on their site, five years later, many critics were saying the banner ad is dead or at least dying.?But is it?
