HERO Holds BOX OFFICE!

Wong Kar Wai's long overdue Hero held onto the top box office spot over the weekend. It may not be raking in tons cash ($11m won the weekend), but it is winning lots of great support from audiences and critics. Reese Witherspoon's Vanity Fair opened in the number six spot ($6.11m).

1. Hero, $11.5 million ($8.8 million)
2. Without a Paddle, $9.4 million ($7 million)
3. Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, $8 million ($6.2 million)
4. Paparazzi, $7.8 million ($6.1 million)
5. The Princess Diaries 2, $7.3 million ($5.4 million)
6. Wicker Park, $6.7 million ($5.4 million)
7. Collateral, $6.5 million ($5 million)
8. Vanity Fair, $6.11 million ($4.8 million)
9. The Cookout, $6.1 million ($5 million)
10. The Bourne Supremacy, $5.4 million ($4.1 million)
