SUPERMAN Casting News!!!

Producers may be one step closer to casting their Clark Kent for the new "Superman" movie, according to fan site Superman-V. ?Director Bryan Singer ("X-Men") has reportedly offered the role (along with a multi-film deal) to a well-known television Clark Kent. ?Apparently, the actor has a few weeks to decide if he will don the tights and cape.

Tom Welling (TV's "Smallville," "Cheaper by the Dozen") is the actor with the offer. ?Superman-V says that their source doubts he will accept the offer because he has been reluctant to play Superman in the past. ?But come on! ?How can he refuse? ?Sure, he might be holding out for more movies like "Cheaper by the Dozen," but a huge film like "Superman," coupled with a multi-picture deal, and enough money to make Clark Kent blush?

Welling has played the role in "Smallville" since 2001 and many fans think he is the right man for the big screen job. ?"Smallville" tells the story of a young Clark Kent/Superman who is coming of age under very different circumstances than most young men.?
