Paramount has put producers to the task of developing a sequel to "The Italian Job," according to Variety. ?But will a sequel draw Charlize Theron, Mark Wahlberg, Edward Norton, and the rest of the original cast?

According to the article, it is impossible to speculate whether the original cast will return at this point, but producers are hopeful, though most of the original cast did not sign sequel deals.

The storyline is not even developed--all producers have is an idea for potential shooting locations, with the Swiss Alps and Paris being high on that list.
