Producer Charles Roven (Scooby-Doo, Twelve Monkeys) told reporters that the new Batmobile actually works and can jump 40 feet when they get it up to 220 miles per hour. ?He went on to say that they would be filming the scene where the car jumps later.

Drooling geeks all over the internet are calling that bit of news a spoiler, but it seems like we have seen other Batmobiles do some pretty impressive things, with jumping ranking low on that list.

While this type of "spoiler" might impress my four-year-old cousin ("Want to see how high I can jump?"), it is not that exciting that the new Batmobile can jump, even if it is 40 whole feet and even if it can do so without the help of special effects.

Plus it looks like the Marines' armored transport from Aliens.
