NY Film Critics Best Film 2003, Return of the King

Hope Davis (About Schmidt, Hearts in Atlantis, Next Stop Wonderland) was named best actress for her role as Harvey Picar's wife in "American Splendor" and ?her work in the little seen, "The Secret Lives of Dentists." ?Eugene Levy (American Pie flicks, Best in Show) was surprisingly named best supporting actor for his role in "A Mighty Wind," and Shoreh Aghdashloo was named best supporting actress for her first big hollywood role in "The House of Sand and Fog."

"The Secret Lives of Dentists" was also named best screenplay, Harris Savides was named best cinematographer for his work on Gus Van Sant's ?"Elephant," and "City of God" was named best foreign film. ?"American Splendor" was named best first feature, "Capturing the Friedmans" best non-fiction film, and "The Triplets of Bellville" best animated film.
