International Superstar and Hong Kong Fooey, Jackie Chan has NOT signed up to join Steve Martin in the new Pink Panther movie. Chan will NOT play the hapless servant, Kato, to Martin's Inspector Clouseau. Buzz on the MGM project has be widely publicized and so has this rumor, but its false. MGM confirmed today that Chan as Kato was just a big dumb rumor. Shawn Levy (directed the lame "Just Married" and lots of TV) is det to direct the pic (not Martin himself, which was reported earlier and sounded a hell of a lot better than Levy). ?MGM is hoping for a Memorial Day weekend '05 release. |
