Weekend Top Ten Box Office Films

Johnny Depp\'s latest film Pirates of the Caribbean earned Disney first place and a good $46.4 million this weekend. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which also premiered last weekend, overcame some bad reviews and ranked second, with about $23.3 million for the three days.

The top ten films for the weekend, according to studio estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations:

1. Pirates of the Caribbean $46.4 million

2. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen $23.2 million

3. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines $19.6 million

4. Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde $12.0 million

5. Finding Nemo $8.2 million

6. Charlie\'s Angels: Full Throttle $7.3 million

7. Sinbad $19.1 million

8. 28 Days Later... $4.2 million

9. The Hulk $3.7 million

10. The Italian Job $2.8 million
