Anne Robinson Says Americans are Stupid!

(SB) The Weakest Link host Anne Robinson was as caustic reacting to the cancellation of her quiz show in the U.S. as she has been speaking to the show's losing contestants. "On one U.S. show I asked a young soap star how many minutes there were in half an hour," Robinson told today's (Friday) London Daily Mirror. "And she said 60." She also appeared unimpressed that NBC had agreed to pick up "Test the Nation," an hour-long interactive intelligence test that racked up outstanding numbers when it debuted in Britain last Sunday. "Of course, the real test will be whether Americans can concentrate for an hour," she remarked. Clearly she was not impressed during her American sojourn by what she witnessed. "I saw George Bush at a benefit concert actually waving at Stevie Wonder," she remarked. "Someone had to tell him 'he can't see you.'" She indicated that she could never have made such cracks on U.S. television. "Before September 11, I remember asking on TV if Bush knew where Europe was. Then suddenly, you had to act as if he was Einstein."

In other news, Fans of the Weakest Link have confessed to having nightmares about presenter Anne Robinson.
