The Story of Matt Hooker and Nicole Kidman
By Jack, (DT)

It's been a while since we had a love story here (ya'll is filled with hatred!).

Here's a crazy soap of a story involving poems, love, stalking, politics and lies.

Back in December 1990 we were all wooed and love struck when Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman were married, this was the same year that Tom renounced his devout Catholic beliefs and embraced The Church Of Scientology. Everyone thought they were finally seeing true love in Hollywood.

Then in February 2001 we all heard the news the terrible, terrible news that Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman had split - claiming their work schedules made it too tough to stay together. After 10 years together as man and wife, Tom and Nicole announced that it was the end. (5 Feb, 2001 Nicole Kidman's Available)

A couple months later, May 7th 2001, after rumours of a stalker, a gentleman named Matthew Hooker appeared at a Santa Monica Court Wednesday morning for a hearing in which the judge ordered the restraining order against Hooker to stand for just one more week. In that time, Kidman's lawyers said they would provide surveillance evidence of Hooker outside the home Kidman used to share with her estranged husband Tom Cruise. Hooker said, "I have never stalked anyone in my life, I have never threatened anyone in my life, that includes Nicole Kidman. I don't know why she has told these lies about me but they are very unjust. I deny almost everything on the complaint. The only thing I did was I did meet her in person, which she has denied but there's no denying that, I was attracted to her. I wrote her a love poem, I wrote her a letter. I went by her house and asked to take her to the ballet and take her kids out for ice cream once. That's it. There's no problem here I've not harassed or stalked anyone. All I know is I have never been angry, I've never been violent, I tried to meet a woman and date a woman."

Matt Hooker, also explained he's running for president in 2004 and was striving to be the world's first trillionaire.

"I'm a gentleman and ladies, I'm a single man, a man who is going to go places in the world. If there are any women out there who are interested in me beware I might just write a love poem about you." -- Mathew E Hooker

Later that month (May 25th) we learned that Claudia Schiffer also shared this unwanted admirer. Matt Hooker had by this time also filed his own lawsuit in L.A. Superior Court against American Airlines and Iberia Airlines - holding them responsible for ruining his "Easter holiday" with Claudia on the Spanish isle of Majorca. Hooker claims in his court papers that on April 20th, 2000, two fellow passengers on his flight to Barcelona "drugged" him and stole his credit card and driver's license. As a result, he said, he couldn't rent a car when he reached Majorca and was forced to spend much of the day walking to Schiffer's villa. When he finally arrived, he said, her mother and sister told him she wasn't home and to come back later. After spending another day haunting Schiffer's front gate and trying to get her on the phone, Hooker recounts, cops took him to the police station, searched his luggage and informed him that Schiffer had told police he "was not welcome at her home."

May 31st, Hooker was found guilty of unlawfully harassing Nicole Kidman. Hooker appeared in a Santa Monica, California, court house Wednesday to hear the judge's verdict, and to receive a three-year injunction, preventing him from contacting Kidman or her children. Kidman was not in court but her personal bodyguard Larry Allison testified on her behalf, saying he found Hooker to be potentially dangerous and mentally unstable. But despite the verdict, Hooker remained defiant and was determined to appeal the decision. He says, "This woman has severely wronged me, I've lost jobs, I've lost work, this is severely damaging to my personal life." Hooker says he's also considering suing Kidman for slandering his reputation.

It was about this time that he also stated that he has no intention of changing his creepy ways. He says, "This won't stop me asking out other Hollywood actresses. I am not going to assume they are all liars like Ms. Kidman."

Now if you thought that Hooker, the would be presidential candidate and accused stalker, couldn't say anything more ludicrous than he already has, you thought wrong. E! Online reported on July 18th that Hooker had claimed he himself is being stalked... by Ben Affleck. In a rambling statement on his beautifulbutdangerous.com Web site, Hooker claims that Affleck has stalked him 5 times, generally wearing a fake moustache and "dressed like a Frenchman." The statement details alleged stalking and conspiracies by various others, such as a guy who beat him up in high school. He claims these conspirators are intent on harrassing him, stealing ideas from him and discrediting him, and that "a group of pot and cocaine users has it out for me."

Hooker also claimed that claimed magician David Copperfield had also been stalking him.

Today in the news Hooker has launched his $15 million lawsuit out of fury for the star. Hooker claims Nicole Kidman accused him of harassing her "for the express purpose of providing defendants with publicity for the actress Kidman and the two films Moulin Rouge and The Others." On top of the $15 million in damages, Hooker is demanding "all of the gross receipt" from Moulin Rouge and The Others. Should he win the unlikely case, Hooker plans to use the cash to fund his plans to run for the office of President of the United States of America in 2004.
