Alice In Chains lead singer and guitarist, Layne Staley was found dead in his apartment this past weekend. ?He was 34 years old. Preliminary autopse results suggest a drug overdose may have been the cause of death. Speaking of which, Staley went into detail about his drug use and its influence on his music in his 1996 interview with Rolling Stone: "I wrote about drugs, and I didn't think I was being unsafe or careless by writing about them. ?Here's how my thinking pattern went: When I tried drugs, they were f*cking great, and they worked for me for years, and now they're turning against me ? and now I'm walking through hell, and this sucks." Yeah, Layne, being just another dead rock star junkie does suck. ?Thanks for spreading that redundant message, squirt.
