Released in 1982, E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial not only raked in gobs of cash, but it gave Americans little aliens that we could love. Now the touchstone of family feel good cinema is slated for re-release in March, 2002.
Recently, Creators.com reported that Dee Wallace-Stone, who played Mary, the kids mom, has been called in to change a line in the upcoming re-release. Stone stated, "There was some reference to one of the Halloween characters in the film looking like a terrorist, so we're going in to reloop that line". Ms. Stone has already been booked for several major publicity events (eg. "Oprah") to promote the re-release. Besides redubbing movie text, Ms. Stone also enjoys a career as a professional motivational/keynote speaker. Thanks to Moviehole and Dark Horizons for the re-release low down. |
