Microsoft plans to integrate the Internet Printing Protocol into windows 2000.?For those of you who aren't familiar with IPP, it's a protocol that would make printing over networks much easier.?Each IPP enabled printer would include a list of features that could be read from your one, single IPP driver.?HP already offers IPP support through its JetDirect series of print servers.?I heard that there's already commercial UNIX support.?Maybe I'll be able to print stuff from linux before I go bald.?Read more
