More Tomb Raider Rumours
By Jack, (DT)

Alright so here's the deal with Tomb Raider now, Paramount did not like the cut Simon West turned in many, many, weeks ago. As was the case on MI:2, Stuart Baird was brought in to re-edit the film and it was his version that was screened in Portland last Thursday (24th).

Reviews are mixed.

"This screening was overall very positive with normal tweaking of a few scenes here or there going on now. I believe they will be completed this week. The only part of the score that was altered was in the 5th reel. This was already planned to emphasize certain dramatic points anyway." (taken from Dark Horizons May 31st)

But when I spoke to some one who was there at the Portland Screening, he seemed disappointed and mentioned most everyone he saw it with thought so too.

Although did get a chance to read another positive review on AICN where some one thought it "Kicked Ass".

Also in the rumour mill (and you can't quote me on this one), I heard that they may be changing the official title from "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider". This is rumour but we'll be sure to let you know of any updates.
