For the multitudes of eager Star Wars fans who would do anything to catch a glimpse of Star Wars Episode II, George Lucas has provided a means to help ease the pain. He is providing fans with an exlusive look at what is going into the production of the second prequel, which is all posted on the official Star Wars web site. On the site, there is an ongoing documentary that charts Episode's II's progress to the big screen, according to a report from Empire Online UK. The first part of the series outlines Lucas? journey from first digital experiments on The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, to the phenomenal techniques used in The Phantom Menace and finally his decision to shoot the second prequel entirely in the digital format. The featurette includes shots of the crew filming on location, Ewan McGregor and Ian McDiarmid shooting in front of bluescreens, C-3PO and R2-D2 in action, as well as interviews with Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen and a lightsaber twirling Samuel L Jackson.
