Spielberg Alien Miniseries to Air on Sci-Fi By Acheron, (DT) March 22, 2001 8:55 AM PT |

(Fox News) Steven Spielberg is going back to his early days of E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind to produce a new 20 hour sci-fi miniseries on the Sci-Fi Channel.
The series is tentatively titled Taken, and will be about three fictional families who experience alien abductions. It will be viewed as ten two-hour installments starting next year, according to Bonnie Hammer, Sci Fi executive vice president and general manager. This should be pretty interesting. Lately, Spielberg has been doing films centered around historical events, so it will be good to see him do something like his earlier work. |
