(SB)The chief medical officer of a British insurance company has warned that the Teletubbies may be sending children the message that it is acceptable to be fat. As reported by Britain's Independent Television News, Dr. Gavin Frost of the MBF medical insurance company told an Australian forum on nutrition: "The question is whether these unfortunately named characters are helping to entrench messages that being fat and jolly are attributes to aspire to." Frost went on to warn that children in Australia, Britain and the U.S. face an epidemic of obesity, with some children showing signs of fatty deposits in their aortas by the time they are four.
