Tarsem Singh's New Project By Jack, (DT) March 5, 2001 5:12 PM PT |
While Tarsem Singh's twisted horror The Cell, may have been a little thin (read: positively emaciated) in the plot department, the director has decided to use a tried and tested screenwriter for his next effort. The next project for Tarsem is to be a re-make of Hamlet, though with a slightly different slant.
Aditya is to be an Indian version of the Bard?s greatest tragedy, with major Indian stars in every role. The film will be shot on locations in Jodhpur Fort, with some scenes in England. The multi-million-dollar international film will be cast with major Indian actors in every single role. The film has already sparked off a controversy in India with the Indian Superstar Hritik Roshan denying that he is acting in the film though the filmmakers claim they have signed him as the lead. |
