(Empire) Ewan McGregor(Trainspotting, Episode I, II) is rumored to be working with Ridley Scott(Alien, Gladiator, Hannibal) on his next feature, Black Hawk Down, a Somalian war drama based on the book by Mark Bowden about the skirmish between US troops and Somalian guerillas in 1993.
?Black Hawk Down is an extraordinary book, you have to keep reminding yourself that it really happened because it reads like such a brilliant war story. It?s absolutely horrific,? said McGregor. I guess we'll find out something more definite in the coming months. ?It'll be pretty sweet to see the two working together. ?Gladiator and Trainspotting are among my favorite movies I've seen thus far. ? In March McGregor will be back to London for some more Episode II shoots, as well as working on some side projects. |
