Wes Craven To Direct Alice By Acheron, (DT) December 7, 2000 9:07 PM PT |
|
A bit of news of the up and coming. Alice, the as of yet unreleased FPS from former id software developer, American McGee, will be turned into a movie directed by none other than Wes Craven himself. McGee has signed away the rights to the game to Dimension Films, under which the film will be produced. The script will be written by John August(screenwriter on Go, Barbarella, Titan AE, Charlie's Angels, and Jurrassic Park III), and is scheduled to be finished sometime in January. More good news. Natalie Portman is considered to be one of the top prospects to play Alice, though this is merely a rumor, and should be taken as such. Nevertheless, that would be very cool, as she would seem to fit that role like a glove. Feed gotten from AICN. Check back for updates as they come. Oh, and you can download the demo of the game(which is based on the Quake III engine, if you didn't know) here, and the trailer here. |
