And yet once again, Actor Robert Downey Jr. was back behind bars Nov. 25, Saturday night after he was arrested in Palm Springs, Calif., for drug possession, according to an ABC News report. Just about three months ago, Downey, Jr. gained an early release from prison and had recently starred in several episodes of Fox television?s Ally McBeal. Recently however, Palm Springs police received an anonymous call from the Merv Griffin resort. When they arrived, they found Downey Jr. alone in a room full of cocaine and methamphetamine. The actor was then charged with drug possession, being under the influence of drugs and committing a felony while on bail. On Sunday, Nov 26, Downey Jr. was released on a $15,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court within 30 days. Downey has got quite the record of legal troubles, dating back to June 1996 when he was stopped for speeding on the Pacific Coast Highway and authorities found cocaine, heroin and a pistol in his vehicle. A month after that incident, he was found passed out on a child?s bed in a neighbor?s home. Three days later, he was arrested for leaving a recovery center. In August 1999, he was was jailed after he admitted during a probation hearing that he was missing scheduled drug tests. Superior Court Judge Lawrence Mira sentenced him to three years in prison for violating his probation. And now, he's at it yet again. At least he's a damn good example of a man that never gives up. But in this case... lame.
