Xena Nixed After 6 Seasons
By Acheron, (DT)

As of next summer, Xena: Warrior Princess will be no more, or rather, will float off to the world of reruns, where it will fade away forever. Not surprisingly, the show had its peak in the early seasons (first aired in 1995), but lately the number of people tuning in has been dwindling. The Xena fans resemble Star Trek fans in that they have had over 100 conventions in the past few years, and Lucy Lawless, Xena actress, has become a cult icon. The news was "swift and painful" for the devoted to hear.

I'll admit it, I really enjoyed the show back in the day, but I was surprised that it was still being aired. It's not a real shocker because Hercules, the series that Xena originated from, has been gone for a while. There will be something else that will come along for all you fans...
