After being released a few days ago due to a mathematical error on the duration of his prison sentence, Robert Downey Jr. has checked himself into a drug rehab facility. Apparently, the judge in his previous court hearing, calculated the duration of his sentence incorrectly, and instead of being up for parole in November, he was supposed to be up for parole in February. The error was corrected and he was released this past week in order to fulfill his time in rehab. Downey's checked himself into a residential drug rehab center in an effort to kick his longtime addiction to drugs, and will stay there until his parole kicks in. It hasnt worked before, and I don't see much hope in rehab this time. I know that hardcore drug users fail several times before they kick their habit, but he doesn't seem to want to kick it. Who knows... He'll probably put out another film, and then go right back into the slammer and start this whole fiasco all over again. Read more here. |
