Train a dog: What are the steps?

When you train a dog never shout at him for doing something wrong. Speak to him gently and try to understand his reason for being anxious. If, he gets agitated to hear the phone ringing then try this experiment, keep calling your home phone through your cell phone, while the phone is ringing do not make any action.


Your dog will bark for sometime but then he will gradually stop when he sees you sitting peacefully. While you train a dog you will learn that dogs are very faithful by nature and can do anything to please his master take advantage of it when teaching him a new habit.


It is important to train a dog when he develops aggressive behavior towards other dogs. Avoiding this action will only make matters worse. His aggressions might be because of fear, dominance, to prove territorial authority, to protect, sexual aggression, survival aggression etc.


The first step to train a dog is to let your dog socialize with other dogs at his early age. It is also advisable to take the help of a specialist if the situation becomes out of control.


Thieving, chewing and biting: How to restrain your dog from doing these?

When you start to train a dog you might face several difficulties but the worst of it is to change the habit of thieving, chewing and biting. Your dog might turn to thieving when he gets something desirable at the end of his quest. Similarly dog biting begins as a game which can gradually turn into something dangerous when he grows up.


While, starting to train a dog firstly, make him realize the limit of fun. Always give food in his bowl, keep your things which he likes to chew under close vigilance or in the closet.


A dog is man's best friend because he has the ability to understand what a man wants from him. So remember that your dog is closely watching your every move. Therefore it is not impossible to train a dog who loves you and can do anything for you.
