Dog training tips: the most common ones

Being animals, dogs cannot distinguish between what is wrong and what is right. They simply understand that their certain behaviors can give rise to certain consequences. This fact creates the basis of formulating dog training tips.

The whole process of training revolves around four basic elements - reward, no reward, bridge and punishment marker. Our dog training tips would let you know the 'when's and 'how's of these terms.

- When you are taking your pet out for a walk, you should not keep the leash tight. If you keep it so, that can force them to pull which is not recommended.

- The most important of all dog training tips is that you should always give one command at a time and stick to one word or phrase for a particular job to be done.

- Dogs should not be trained on a full stomach

- Do not ever give treats to control a behavior

- Give enough time to learn one behavior and then shift to another.

- To make your pets identify one behavior, name it. You would get same control over it.

- Rewards can be given to increase a behavior.

- All the members of the family should treat the dog in the same manner.

The last among the dog training tips mentioned above requires some explanation. It means that all the family members must punish or reward the dog for similar bad or good instances.
