How to get civilian conservation corps records.

American corps records can be found at The National Archives. These records are public and copies can be ordered following specific procedures. Here are some tips that will help you get civilian conservation corps records and United States Marine Corps records.

Anyone interested in finding a marine corp record must locate the record first because not all marine corp service records are kept at the same department. For example records of veterans deceased, retired or discharged before 1st January 1905 are managed by the The National Archives's Old Military and Civil Records Branch (NWCTB-Military) department; records of officers deceased, discharged or retired between 1905 and 1994 can be requested by National Personnel Records Center (NPRC-MPR). What is important to know is that health records are not always managed by the same department so in case you are after health records, you have to check which departments manage the different types of health records.

How to get marine corps enlistment records.

Marine corps enlistment records for the period between 1939 and 1994 can be requested by NPRC-MPR. If you need to obtainn copies of these records, all you need to do is to fill in and submit a DD form 214. This form should be completed with the name of the person, their service number and social security number (if applicable), branch and date of service, date and place of birth, place of discharge, last unit of assignment, place of entry.

You can also obtain marine corps enlistment records by searching online. There are public records databases that offer military records search.
