Which information will remain confidential after I obtain driving records?

Obtaining driving records has never been easier - due to modern computer technology we can obtain driving record online. This is a serious advantage and is widely used for private and business purposes alike. The power on internet makes it so easy to obtain driving records that many people forget about the fact that not all information is actually disclosed in those records.

Driving records are considered public - anyone can view them. However, unless you want to obtain your own driving records, certain private information may not be disclosed in the records - the regulations regarding this differ from state to state. For example in some US states the driving license number will not be included in a driving record, in other states you will not find traffic accidents that have happened before 3 or 5 years, etc.

Moreover a good public record database can find the records you need even if you have only the name of the person whose records you need.
