PS3 7522 Error, no music?

It all started after a simple update. Everything was working well and cool, until you have that 2.50 update. After restarting your computer and going to your music files, you got nothing going except for a PS3 7522 error.


You took a look around to see what's wrong. Your PS3 still sees the media server, but for some unknown reason you are unable to gain access to your music or video files, just a persistent ps3 7522 message.

If your are able to play video but not music, chances are you have quite a big number of music files as compared to video. This can be attributed to a bug with the media server that it is unable to handle huge media files effectively.


To fix ps3 7522 error, trim down the size of your folder. You can split your music files into several folders so that it becomes smaller manageable ones. You can do this and you don't need to get rid of your cool music.


Another alternative is to temporarily remove or transfer the files away from the folders being monitored by WMP, then disable Media Server in PS3 settings. You then add the files back to the monitored folders, and re-enable the media server from within the ps3 settings. Many have tried this method and it works like a charm!
