The term criminal listing may stand for two things - criminal listings of courts or public records.

Criminal court listings are the schedules of all the hearings that will take place in a court during a period of time. Since there are two main types of trials - civil and criminal, criminal court listings will present the criminal trials only.

Most courts publish this information on their websites. Criminal court listings contain the date and time of each hearing, the type of the session (for example judgment, notice f motion, etc) as well as the name of the names of the parties involved in the dispute - for example John Smith vs. Jane Doe Company.

A criminal record listing differs from the listings explained above. A criminal record is an information file that holds information about the criminal history of a person. Such listings usually contain chronologically ordered data about every law violation a person may have had in his past. A criminal record listing will usually contain when the person was arrested and where, what were the charges, in which court or courts were the hearings, what was the sentence, was the person sent to any correction facility, and if yes - what was the type of the correction facility and when they were released. Each entry has the reference number of the official document related to the entry. In some cases there is also a photo included in the criminal record listing.
