For my father is an Israeli/German production that shows humanistic relationships between Palestinian and Israeli. Tarek who is a suicide bomber has a mission of redeeming his father's honor. He was sent to a public market and wears an explosive-filled vest and in charge of blowing up the area. But when his bomb fails to explode he was forced to hide and tried to fix the explosives. There, he had no choice but to live with the people he was planning to kill but to his surprise he found comfort with them most especially when he met a young lady named Keren who is lonely and confused as him.

As Tarek begins to fall in love with her, he was remained aware of the bomb strapped in his waist, knowing that their happiness will be just for awhile as he's still under controlled by the terrorists.
