In Search of Memory is a mixture of autobiography and history that depicts the life of an award winner neuroscientist Eric Kandel who was known for his groundbreaking research on physiology. It features his excellent study of brain's storage of memories and scientific developments in our understanding of it's role in recording and preserving memory. Footage also includes Kandel's dramatic childhood in Vienna and his impressible years as an emigrant in New York, giving a glimpse to his personal and professional life most especially to his emotional ties to Judaism.
