As you could have seen, most of the Xbox related problems are occurring because of overheating. So placing Xbox in well ventilated area or in more airy place can help you in avoiding such incidents from happening. Keep it in a place where hot air can flush out from all sides of the Xbox. Even after turning off, keep it in airy place till it cools down.
