If watching tv on a mobile phone is no fun because of the miniature sized screen, consider portable tv on your laptop

I have friends who would try making me jealous of their brand new high tech mobile phones, boasting of features like being able to watch videos and tv programs. When I ask them about the consistency and quality of what they're watching, that's the time they would stammer a bit when trying to give a good response.

Watching tv on your mobile phone maybe cool, specially since it's something new and the innovation is there. But with a small screen the size of your palm, viewing is a bit stressful for the eyes.

As for the quality, watching video is good enough because of the crisp LCD screens. Since the video is being watched straight from the mobile phone's memory, it's consistency is maintained. But in the case of watching tv, it's a different case. Depending on the reception, the tv show being watched may not be as clear as that of an actual tv screen.

A portable tv on your laptop is better in many ways. The viewing screen is bigger and wider. Plus the quality is better as well because the video streams comes from the internet, no snowy appearance on the screen. Another big thing is that the mobility is still there. When you are in a wifi hotspot, you can watch tv at the same time you're busy chatting with friends or reading your email.
