With the same quality as watching on your tv, hdtv on pc gives you more options and flexibilities

For example, on your regular cable or satellite tv viewing, you'll be lucky to get 500 or even 1000 viewable channels. Compare that to hdtv on pc, which can delivery as much as 4000+ channels. These number of channels are also being updated regularly, so expect it to increased over time. ANd before I forget to mention, this increase in channels does not increase your payment as well, unlike in some cable or satellite tv companies that offers additional monthly fees for additional channels.

Quality wise, it's basically the same for both the regular tv and the hdtv on pc. One major adventage for hdtv is the added feature, like ability to update channels automatically, selection between the reglar channels and other specials like full length movie, music video, among others.

Short to say, having your own hdtv on pc is one way to bring endless entertainment to your viewing experience, without causing pain on the budget. :)
