Solomon Kane is a legendary 16th century mercenary whose only objective in life is to fight evil of all forms. After serving Queen Elizabeth I in Africa, his chance encounter with a demon known as the reaper made him change his mission into seeking redemption, and that killing again would send his soul to Hell. He begins to live peacefully away from any form of violence in England, even converting to puritanism.

But as a new evil sorcerer leads a band of ruthless bandits into killing people and spreading fear to the hearts of villagers, Solomon finds himself making a dreadful choice: Fight but to loose his soul forever to the devil, or not to fight at all. He eventually sets himself into a final battle with the devil himself.
