Sean Penn is so hot-cold. He's a good-bad actor, he's a good-bad director, he's political ding-dong that gives a shit then ends up coming off like a ding-dong. Dig his latest directorial effort, an adaptation of the bestseller, Into the Wild.

Either the studio is really trying to sell this muther or Penn's visual style is damn splashy for subject matter.
