The movie is badly done in adapting it from the video game series. Whatever 'anyone' says.

The game first off had alot of Japanese setting. So it should have had that. Instead they have chinese setting. Nothing wrong with that but wrong movie.

They should have put full blooded Japanese girls for the roll of Kasumi and Ayane. And their hair should have not been dyed orange and purple but instead left with their natural colors since this is a live movie.

They should haved picked a real french woman for Helena.

Jaime pressley was a bad choice for Tina. They should haved picked a more city ambitous looking type girl who is 'like' straight from a music video. And who's acting skills knows how to act shallow, but intelectualy shallow.

Dennis Rodman should have been Zack. He acts like him, looks like him, and already voice acted for him. It was an obvios choice and still they ignorantly picked someone else.

If Corey Yuen is gonna play Hayate, they should make his hair long to shoulder length.

Also the fight scenes where the characters are Japanese should fight in a Japanese style martial arts which is direct and more of a no nonsense style.

While if they had Lei-Fang in there(which they don't...) She should have fought crouching tiger style.

The setting and fights should have been set around the world. Just like in the 'Game'

The last scene of the movie where they fight 300 guys is pretty...no plainly stupid. If you've played the game remember that the tournament led up to a supernatural boss that was the center reason of causing havoc to society.

And above all, they should have followed the DOA2 story line. DOA2 set a good stepping stone for the story introducing anybody who was unfamiliar to the game about the drama and 'seriosness' of the DOA world. It also set's up for a good sequel. Plus the story is better. Period.

Also why Tecmo let this happen is just a bad decision. It may hurt their franchise in the future of bad publicity of the quality of their products.

Like for example some dude or woman saw the movie and thought it was really stupid, shallow, didn't make sense, not innovative. Then they go out looking a new game for their video game console. They see DOA. A person who never saw the movie would have probally bought it. But this person(Who has) probally won't buy it thinking it's gonna be as low quality as the movie. See what I mean.

So in conclusion, the movie is bad. The plot hasn't stayed close to the game barley making sense of resemblance of story. And it just took styles of previos other movies that was sucessful or populer enough, and blendid it all in to try to make movie that is 'suppose' to show quality to viewers, But actually it's expressing the copying trends in the most shallow way. The movie is not innovative at all.
