Nicolas Cage Ruins Own Child's Life!

Actor Nicolas Cage's wife, Alice Kim Cage, gave birth to a baby boy today in New York. Why would we write about that here, you ask? Because the Cages decided to name their child Kal-el, even though he is definitely not from Krypton. That's why. And if making fun of celebrities' awful decisions is wrong, I don't want to be right. Oscar-winner Cage presumably talked his wife into the name by not explaining where the hell it comes from. Luckily for him "Superman Returns" won't be out until next year. By then it will be too late.

For those who are scratching their heads, Kal-el is Superman's given name--his Kryptonian name.

Baby Cage's full name is Kal-el Coppola Cage. (The middle name comes from uncle Francis.) Awww, alliteration, too. For the kid's sake let's hope "Ghost Rider" does well so the Cages can afford a private tutor--or a full-time body guard--for when baby Kal-el becomes teenage Kal-el.
