ROTS explains the Padme/Leia situation. in Empire. Kenobi NEVER says or indicates that he knew nothing of Leia. in fact he knew because he will be there to witness the birth of both twins. in empire kenobi says that Luke is their last hope. the reson is that Obi-Wan knew that Yoda was about to die soon. and if Luke got killed by Vader...NO ONE WOULD BE AROUND TO TRAIN LEIA TO BECOME A JEDI WHO WOULD BE ABLE TO DEFEAT VADER!!!!! think...use the force (and some common sense.
