Some of you people seem like the type that watch the movies instead of the reading the books, then complain when your professor calls you on it by failing your essay.

I absolutely love the original movie, and I read the book years ago before I had even seen it.  The first movie was based _loosely_ on the book.  Yes, the movie was great, but it tore the book apart, and made it much lighter so that some song and dance could be added to make it a little kid's movie.

I'm confident Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are going to do the book plenty of justice, and I hope that more of you will realize the difference in the two movies.  I'm looking forward to seeing a movie _of_ the book, not a musical _about_ the book.
