Personally I cannot wait to see the movie and I am seeing the first showing, besides that: What are you all complaining about? Its a movie. It is not necessarily going to follow either the movie or the book, what movie can completely do that. I am going to look at it apart from them. It is a movie and should be viewed as any new movie should be. Whatever your reason for watching it judge it apart from the original and the book. One no directer can put everything from a book into a movie and they must make it original in some way (look at Harry Potter for instance). And second the first movie can never be recreated, but there can be a NEW movie on this book. I do not see why you all are fussing about it. I think it will be spectacular because of the director and the cast. Take it as IT is not as YOU think it should be, isn't that what most do to a NEW movie that they know nothing about?
(I know this doesn't help my point but Manson? I cannot imagine him being in a movie that loads of children are going to see... That may be why Johny Depp is the main guy, because if Manson acted some might not have seen it as well as Johny is a well known and especially good actor right now, many want to see his movies so that makes the rating and the numbers/money go up)
