i'm a 15 y.o. guy from usa. I have gta 3 and gta: vice city. I like the games very much, and like to play them. But I'm not a phyco killer.

If anything, the games like gta are a stress-reliever for me. School and homework are what get me angry, nobody likes homework. At school I'm not even allowed to where a shirt with words on it, not even the name of the school. I'm like wtf? and you can't bring a cd player or headfones to listen to music. And you have to wear a belt. if you haven't guessed it yet, i go to a christian/private school. Anyways, that was off on a tanget, so um back to the point....

I remember trying to get GTA 3 at bestbuy last year. Mom was "oh no, it's that evil game, you're going to kill somebody!" and the game had one of those "MUST BE 18 TO BUY" signs on it. I was like WTF? M means 17 and up(don't believe me, then go to http://www.esrb.org and see for yourself.), not 18. (Of course, it was no different, i was 15 so 17 or 18 was no difference.) Eventually i concinved her that gta was not much different that james bond or mission impossible. I've seen many rated R movies of the sort, but when it comes to video games of the same rating (pg=e,pg-13=T,R=M), video games are view under a completely different light.

When there's nudity, guns, and violence in a movie(like M.I.2), the movie is a great seller and everybody likes it and gets good ratings. But when a game has the same stuff, the game gets bad reviews from the media. And it is censored/banned (like with the gta games in australia)

Nudity is banned, which is shit. Censorship is getting worse and worse. I learned that in the ancient greek times, men were naked when playing sports. Of course, I don't want naked men, I'm not gay. The point is it's getting worse and worse. I'm betting that words like "darn," "crap," and "sex" will be banned within the next century or sooner. Besides, banning nudity won't do anything. As long as there's uncensored porn sites out there that don't check your age, I won't kill anyone.

Anyways, I wrote this post because I was angry when i heard gta:san andreas is going to be censored in australia, like the other gta games. Of course, real guys over there will buy the game off the internet from another country, like NZ, and import it into australia. Soon gta will be illegal like drugs over there and cops will be like "You're under arrest for possesion of a game with violence and bad words in it."

YO MEDIA CENSORS, why ban or censor games like gta:sa when you show u.s. prisoners in iraq get killed and tourtured on public television? The world is screwed up.

Don't even get me started with books being banned in schools. "No shakespear for you kids, why don't you just watch some more terrorism in iraq instead?" Soon all books will be banned for one reason or another, and nobody will know anything.
