Uhh, ok, well first things first.  Yeah, I am kind of a geek, but by no means would I call my self a comic book nerd, I don't own, nor have I read enough of them.  If I were to call myself one, I would be doing the actual comic book geeks an injustice by calling myself that.  Second, whoever said that not many people have heard of the Green Lantern, no offense and all, but you are dead wrong.  There are a crapload of people who have heard of the Green Lantern.  Even if you don't go by all the fans, a great many people, kids and adults alike, like watching superhero cartoons.  One of the more popular superhero cartoons at the moment is Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited (which just started).  In these cartoons one of the main super heroes is the Green Lantern, who I might add is badass.  Now since I'm not a huge comic book fan, the only thing I know is that this guy is black, completely lost on his name.  I'm sure others will be able to say who, after reading a lot of this forum, I'm assuming his name is Hal.  Anyway, my final point, I agree w/ most of you in saying that I think Jack Black is an excellent comedic actor, but him and Green Lantern don't really go together.  But who knows, maybe they could turn something good out if this, I just wouldn't hold my breath on that.
