I just wanted to post my opinion since there are so many negative ones. I agree that the movies and games should stay seperate to make things more interesting, as well as the adding of Alice to the mix of the RE story.  Remember that there are new games comming out featuring all new characters, frankly I don't see how a new character in a RE movie is any different. As far as the movies not being like the games, take a good look at the Tomb Raider stuff, the movie was based off of the original games, but aren't exactly like the games.  
I play the RE games religiously and see no reason why the games and movies should be exactly the same.  I'm excited to see the new movie and Nemesis looks very interesting.  Also keep in mind the reason his height is so strange is because Eric Mabius from the first movie is playing him.  Enjoy the movies and games for what they are, I know I will!
