Spike Lee is an excellent filmmaker - and of course opinions are like %$$holes - everyone's got one...  Criticism is an art - an art that not too many are skilled at - How do you think something could be improved?  or Are the subjects not worth covering at all? Criticism should include at least these questions.  Spike's films take a peek at human relationships that are very real (multi-cultural etc.) in a way that very few people do. Are against the types of humans he is interested? Or are you a frustrated filmmaker - I urge you to get yourself a camera and some editing equipment and go at it and of course rent every Spike Lee film and survey them and re-think your opinion.  He is one of the premier filmmakers.
