Michael Moore is not only a low-rent hypocrite, but also an idiot of epic proportions. If he had any brains at all he would take a moment out of his busy schedule of press interviews and such, stop running from Mike Wilson, and give him an interview. For god's sake, he not only makes himself look like a bigger jackass than he already has, but by avoiding Mike Wilson he's made it pretty clear that he wants nothing do with being in the hot seat and defending his 'work'  - even if it is just for a few mintues.

It's not only hypocritical, but simply a bad move (PR-wise)

One would think that Moore, who claims to be 'a man of the people', could at least take a few moments out of his busy schedule and give a fellow filmaker a few moments of his time - especially since the filmaker has apparently offered 5% of the films profit to an Elemetary school in Flint, Michigan just for his time.

I'm just a working class nobody, but seems like 'a man of the people' could spare a few minutes to help out the kids of Flint.

In fact, it seems like that a 'man of the people' would make it priority to help out....the people - especially students that really want to hear him speak. Yet, he seems to have no real interest in doing that whatsoever - not unless he's getting paid fat-cat dollars. I think they call it 'kocking a gift horse in the mouth', or 'getting too big for your britches.'

In fact, he not only won't give them his time, he wants to charge them thousands for the 'man of the people' schtick.

- Cornell Univ: $10,000
- U of Texas: $25,000
- Penn State: $15-20,000
- Kansas Univ: $30,000

This is what I don't get, and why Moore will eventually choke on his own hypocrisy. With his credibility already seriously in question, wouldn't it be a smart move to put the greed aside (just for a little while) and go talk to students without charging them an arm and a leg -- where he can preach his propaganda to thousands without it costing him a cent? Career-wise it's simply a brain dead move.

Furthermore, why does this 'man of the people' boast about being a multi-millionaire, send his own daughter to private school (why bother to send her to public school with everyday commoners and the working class?), and live in a 1 million dollar NY apt?

Don't get me wrong - I think that if you work for your money and make it, you should be able to spend it any way you want to. After all, it's the American way. I also think that you should be able to make documentaries criticizing fat-cats that affect us all - keeps everyone in line. That's also the American way. As an artist, I also don't support censorship - political or otherwise. I think if he wants to make movies about fat-cats and politicians/George Bush until the stars burn out, more power to him. But why not practice what he preaches instead of buckling under greed the first chance he gets?

I mean, for chrissakes, it's not like his work is any major achievment. Publically smearing wealthy big-wigs (especially politicians) is like shooting fish in a barrel. With the exception of legwork and a weak imagination, Moore's work is about as rough as walking to the mailbox in the morning.

In fact, Moore is proving himself to be the poster-child for misinformation and tired conspiracy theories. While I think Mike Wilson's film is long overdue, I also understand that with or without it Moore will do himself in. You can only lie to people so blatently before even your own fans get sick of hearing your BS, and will no longer pay you to spoon feed your lines of tired crap anymore. MMoore will be die by his own hand from choking on his own hypocrisy.

Sooner or later his fans will wake up and realize that their hero, who has made millions off them by creating films about the sins of wealthy, big-wig white guys, is himself a ------------------ hey, guess what?

A wealthy, big-wig, fat-cat white guy.
