Oh my God, whoever wrote that long letter to Johnny, that was amazing because I agree completely... not agree, feel the exact same way... almost like I was reading something I was unaware I had written. I love Johny Depp, and not because I think he's hot (not meaning he isn't adorable....!), and I'm not one who next to the red carpet wears a shirt with his face, a poster declaring my ultimate devotion, screaming hard and hysterically, bursting to frantic tears as he walked by. Because those are what I think of as his "fans" really.... I'm not a "fan", I'm an admirer.
Because "fans" tend to dote over stars and, to me, think of them as an "object" to drool over, not a person. I love Johnny because, as you said, "... it's like his personality is in every one of those movies....". I just adore how such creativity and pure imagination bursts out of the screen when I watch his characters.... which is surprising because he is so quiet and sullen seeming in actuality... He is just such an ingenius, whimsical, brillianlty talented person and expresses himself marvelously in movies... whuch for some actors took years to develop in classes and acting lessons, whilst for Johnny, just came naturally- (he wasn't even interested in acting when he was younger, according to biographies, he wanted to be a muscician, then got a deal for his first debue 21 Jump Street tv series)  I'm a 14 year old girl, love Johnny Depp, but don't have posters all over my room. Don't ask me why, but it just wouldn't feel natural to me, and probably because I feel so much respect for him and inspiration from him, since I love to write and hope to some day maybe become and author..... (or an actress :D thanx Johnny!) One thing that bothers me the most, and always has, is that I will probably never have an oportunity to really know the guy. I don't even mean meeting him, (though that would BE SO COOL!)but even just seeing him talk on TV, out of a storyline. Because we know his characters; we just dont really know him. And Johnny, if by any unlikely chance you do come across and read this, just know this. AWSOME AMAZING EXCELLENT JOB IN PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN (my favourite movie ever, and you're act is the main reason) You were sooooooooooooo funny..... I laughed my wee lil guts out until I was torn away from the TV screen to have a surgical implant of the internal organs I had lost!!! I am so damn glad you are going to be in the sequals because, honestly, they would be better off just killing off your character if you couldn't play it. It is physically and morally impossible for any one man to make the same outstanding performance as you as Captain Jack Sparrow. Oh, and also sooooo wonderful in Finding Neverland.... soo sad... And also know that for every person that doesn't like your work, there are a thousand other insane obsessive young girls who worship the ground you walk on, and a million more who love you and everything you do... Oh, and it's comging out in July, and I think you look absolutely HISTERICAL in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory..... can't wait to see it. (oh and then there's that cute little pout about his lips that completely bounces me off the walls.... just had to say that.....) So, that's my opinion, and I'm just glad there is some reason for me to turn on my TV once in a while. Mr. Depp, keep up the good work. :)
