I cant say I read any of the books, but I felt the movie partially sucked.

Visually : stunning. Better than anything in the Matrix for sure. But at the end of the day its all computer stuff. You're really only limited by today's technology so to call a movie stunning for how it looks isnt really that much credit to the makers as it is to technology, which will continue to improve anyway.

I understand that there was simply too much story to tell...and in fact i think thats why the story is meant for a book rather than the big screen. I was annoyed by the slow progress.

The last hour was one of the biggest jokes i'd ever seen. HOW MANY GODDAMN ENDINGS are there left, and i thought that quite a few times. This was simply a happy end overload. Did they really have to tie up every single small sub-story??? Theres like 15 goddamn endings

My girlfriend and I both started to laugh near the end...a hilarious attemps at making a tearjerker...

Interesting fairy tale, if thats your thing... but give me Tarantino's movies anyday. Cant wait for the second part of Kill Bill. That is cinema.
